Symbian OS Version 6.x Overview

Symbian OS is at the heart of all Symbian OS phones, and includes the kernel, middleware for communications, data management and graphics, the lower levels of the GUI framework, and application engines. Symbian OS enables mobile phones to be a platform for deployment of applications and services (programs and content) developed in a wide range of languages and media. This paper gives an overview of the Symbian OS Version 6.x architecture.
