Rational TestFactory: Substantially Better Defect Detection and Reduction

This paper introduces Rational TestFactory, a new product that automates the process of testing an application's reliability, replacing human testing (QE time) with computer cycles to effectively and thoroughly test an application's reliability. TestFactory replaces the manual steps QE organizations previously performed in exercising the navigation paths through a software application with automation, freeing QE engineers to focus on the other aspects of application quality. TestFactory reduces application defects by providing a convenient and easy-to-use facility that automatically finds application defects and automatically generates reusable tests.
