Rebuilding the Tower of Babel - The Case for UML with Real-time Extensions
An important role of Systems Engineering is the communication between engineering and its customers, both of whom speak very different languages. In this paper, Matthew Hause, highlights the need for a methodology that supports Systems Engineering concepts and a tool that allows full expression of the requirements. The system requirements are worked through for an example system using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) with real-time extensions. As a result, the requirements are more clearly and comprehensively covered, and more easily understood even by those who are unfamiliar with UML.View Entire Paper | Previous Page | White Papers Search
