PICMG
PICMG (PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group) is a consortium of over 500 individual industrial computer product vendors established in 1994. Its' mission is to extend the PCI standard, as approved by the PCI Special Interest Group (PCI SIG), for computer systems such as passive backplane PCI/ISA and the CompactPCI Eurocard form factor. Trenton Technology Inc. was one of the founding companies. PICMG's approach to specification and technology development is nimble, efficient, and completely open. Legally a non-profit organization, and organized as an open consortium, PICMG member companies come together to develop specifications of common interest.
