3Com SuperStack 3 Switch 4400 - Simplifying Network Installation with Smart IP

Deploying a switch can be time consuming. Often, a particularly awkward step is getting an IP address assigned and configured in a new device. IP addresses are location-specific and cannot be traditionally pre-assigned by the manufacturer. Devices pre-staged in one location and then sent out for deployment will require different IP addresses at dinstinct times. At a remote site, without trained personnel, a company may need to deploy a technician just to put each device in place and give it an IP address. This costs money and wastes time.
