Implementing An Ultra-Compact Linux-Based Web Server Using The Plug-N-Run

This paper describes how Cell Computing, Inc.'s Plug-N-Run dramatically reduces the footprint of Web Servers. This is illustrated with an actual implementation, using the Linux Operating System and the Apache HTTP server. This implementation provides insight in how OEMs can effectively tap into the Plug-N-Run's features to meet strict performance per square foot requirements in the markets for server farms and network attached storage devices, without compromising CPU performance and scalability, bus bandwidth and memory capacity.
