intent 2 Overview

intent® is the brand name for Tao's Universal Multimedia Platform which can be configured and deployed incorporating one or more of its five main, world leading, modular components: (1) Qi (Brandable UI, Browser, Content Handlers e.g. SMIL), (2) iSS (intent Sound System), (3) iVE (intent Visual Environment), (4) Java Solutions, and (5) Gaming.

The low level layer of intent provides the runtime environment and threading mechanism for all of the technologies and applications that sit above it and is used as the deployment mechanism to enable intent to run on top of other Operating Systems. Where required this layer can act as a full Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) for native deployment directly onto the hardware.
