How to Build a Highly Available Application Using SelfReliant 7500

This document provides an example of utilizing GoAhead® SelfReliant Basic Availability ManagementTM (SR-BAM) to create a highly available service. The service used in this tutorial is a very simple application that increments a number once every second. Although this is a very simplistic service, it serves quite well as a basis for walking through the step-by-step integration of SelfReliantTM availability tools into an existing, modifiable application. The steps outlined are representative of the steps needed to integrate SelfReliant 7500 into more complex applications. The emphasis in this tutorial is not on the application. Instead the steps toward building a highly reliable and available system using SR-BAM are the primary focus.
