G.PAK Packet Voice DSP SystemDigital Signal Processing (DSP) is an enabling technology that has been at the heart of voice communications for decades. DSP technology is a fundamental building block in voice-over-packet communication. Among other things, Digital Signal Processing is used to compress speech signals in order to make efficient use of bandwidth. DSP is also used to cancel echoes in telephone systems, a problem that is magnified in voice-over-data systems.
