Geometry Acceleration

The GLINT Gamma G1 and G2 processors constitute a hardware implementation of the full OpenGL geometry and lighting pipeline, and also provide geometry and lighting acceleration in Direct3D for DirectX 7. The first section of this paper gives a brief overview of the 3D pipeline. The second section provides a more detailed description of the geometry and lighting portion of the pipeline, with a focus on OpenGL. The final section lists the hardware acceleration features implemented in the GLINT Gamma G1 and G2 processors.
