FlashFX Performance Characteristics

While Datalight FlashFX allows flash memory to be used in a similar fashion to a hard disk, there are a number of differences due to the underlying flash technology. Generally, flash memory has a much higher read rate than that of normal disks, but the flash write rates are much slower. The slower write rate of the flash memory results from two factors dictated by the type of flash memory; the program rate and the erase rate.
