Changing Application Development Needs - A TechRepublic Survey

Application development is changing to meet the demands of an increasingly mobile work force, the expanding global enterprise, and the need for real-time access to the latest versions of software. Today's developers are faced with a myriad of technical and business requirements and must meet ever-tighter deadlines without sacrificing quality or functionality. To explore how the development organization meets these challenges, TechRepublic conducted a survey of application developers and IS/IT managers. The study establishes some basic benchmarks for current practices in application development that will help managers pinpoint areas of concern in their own environments and apply corrective action if necessary.
