CANCorder - A Universal Recording Device for CAN-Messages

From anti-lock braking system to seat height adjustment – even an average small car today has a large number of micro-controllers in its actuators and sensors, which provide many control and monitoring functions in the electronic system of the bodywork and in the drive or comfort area. As a rule, data is exchanged between the components of the various func-tional areas via CAN-based networks. In this respect, the data communication systems in the vehicle represent the central nervous system of a modern car.

With the CANcorder, a mobile recording device for CAN-messages, IXXAT Automation GmbH has now launched a powerful, versatile device which is particularly suited to testing and diagnosing CAN-based communication systems in cars.
