An Implementation Analysis of JMS Servers

This document provides an in-depth technical analysis of Fiorano FioranoMQ, the leading Java messaging server on the market, and SonicMQ, another relatively popular JMS Server. We compare the flow control, scalability, latency-reduction and persistence mechanisms used with the two server implementations, and illustrate particular conditions in which one of the servers (Progress SonicMQ) is rendered useless in important real-world circumstances.
