A New Approach to Designing DSP Systems

In this paper, we will examine a new design approach that combines a system-level design tool, SystemView by ELANIX, with DSP IP cores optimized for efficient layout in Xilinx FPGAs. This approach offers a visual design environment that enables DSP applications to be designed more quickly, yet scales well to high performance applications. For the first time, complete DSP systems can be simulated, optimized and directly implemented in FPGAs through a completely automatic design flow.
