Parallel PLIX E Board Demo Software
To speed the examination of the Parallel PLIX, Micromint have configured a special evaluation board which connects to and is powered from a PC's parallel printer port. Using the example software and a TW253 power-line adapter module, users will see how easy it is to remotely control appliances and lights through the power line. The PLIX E Board demo software gives the user the ability to communicate to the Parallel PLIX chip via the parallel port of a PC. The Windows based program allows the user to use the X10 commands of On, Off, Bright, Dim, All Lights On, and All Units Off. The demo software also allows the user to read the last command transmitted over the power lines by other devices.
