Sequence and DavanTech Sponsor Low-Power Design Seminar in Seoul

3/17/2006 - Sequence Design, the EDA leader in power-aware SoC design solutions, will host a low-power design seminar in Seoul on April 27, 2006, from 10am to 3:30pm. Korean chip designers in the fast-growing consumer, mobile, and highly integrated device markets are encouraged to attend by contacting Sequence’s local distributor, DavanTech.

The seminar, to be held at Hotel Lotte World, focuses on four areas: predicting power consumption early in the design cycle, reduction of switching power consumption, reduction of leakage power, and efficient power-grid design. In addition to product and technology updates from Sequence, a series of guest speakers will present on low-power design techniques and related topics.

Professor Hyunchul Shin of the college of engineering sciences, Hanyang University, is the keynote speaker, discussing modern challenges in SoC power management. Jerry Frenkil, Sequence chief technology officer, will present real-world case studies of successful power-sensitive designs, and emerging methodologies for achieving rapid design closure at 65nm.

"Korea is a world leader in mobile technologies where success is directly tied to how well designers can manage power and time to market," said Vic Kulkarni, Sequence president and CEO. "We are pleased to present our guests with the latest thoughts, methods, and a few useful tricks they can put to work right away."

"Advanced solutions from technology partners like Sequence helps keep our customers at the forefront of power-aware, nanoscale design," said Sancho Park, CEO of DavanTech, Korea’s top EDA distributor. "It is a great pleasure to team with them to present Korean engineers with information that will contribute greatly to their low-power design expertise and success."

This event is co-sponsored by Sequence Design, HP, and DavanTech. It will include a complimentary luncheon and prize drawings. For more information or to register, contact DavanTech’s KeunOk (Kenny) Seo by telephone +82.31.789.2837.

Founded in 1997, DavanTech is Korea’s top distributor of EDA products and services. With offices in both Korea and the United States, DavanTech is now expanding its offerings to include IP and ASIC design and consulting.
