Accellera Invites Electronic Design Community to DATE Session, Meeting

3/2/2006 - Accellera, the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) organization focused on language-based design standards, invites the electronic design community to attend the 2006 Design Automation and Test in Europe (DATE) and to attend its open meetings: Open Industry Meeting, Open Verification Library (OVL) session, and a DATE Exhibition Theatre panel on European Support for ESL Standards.

Open Industry Meeting
This session features a presentation about Accellera’s Roadmap, as well as presentations from users highlighting their experience with adopting standards. The Roadmap presentation includes plans for IEEE 1076TM VHDL and information about a new Open Compression Interface (OCI) standard that supports test-pattern generation and diagnosis for multiple on-chip scan structures.

Agenda

  • Introduction: Rich Faris, Accellera Treasurer
Accellera 2006 Roadmap: Dennis Brophy, Accellera Vice Chairman
User presentations on successes and challenges of using IEEE 1800TM SystemVerilog, IEEE 1850TM Property Specification Language (PSL), and SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA)
  • Open Verification Library Session
This session highlights the Open Verification Library (OVL) standard as an integral part of an assertion-based verification strategy. The OVL standard creates a vendor- and language-independent assertion library that can be leveraged across multiple verification processes. At this meeting, Mike Turpin, Chairman, and Kenneth Larsen, Co-Chairman of the OVL Technical Committee, will present on the revised Accellera OVL standard, which is a completely re-architected version of the original OVL that takes advantage of new features offered by the IEEE 1800TM SystemVerilog, IEEE 1850TM Property Specification Language (PSL).
  • European Support for ESL Standards Panel
Accellera Vice Chairman, Dennis Brophy, will talk about how Accellera supports the development of Electronic System-Level (ESL) standards and other organizations’ efforts, as well as describe how Accellera interacts with different standardization bodies to improve electronic design productivity and quality.
  • Accellera Open Industry Meeting
    Tuesday March 7, 2006 18:00-20:00
    Room 02
  • Accellera Open Verification Library Session
    Wednesday March 8, 10:00 – 10:55
    Room 1427
  • European Support for ESL Standards Panel
    Thursday March 9 1300 - 1400
    Exhibition Theatre
