Software Acumen Rolls Out pure::variants Synchronizer

2/24/2006 - Managing requirements for multiple product variants is a problem due to the difficulty of specifying how requirements may vary between products. CaliberRMTM users now have a solution to this problem - pure::variants Synchronizer - an add-in for the pure::variants toolset.

Synchronizer allows your *existing* CaliberRMTM Requirements Projects to be exported to pure::variants as Feature Models. pure::variants’ rich modelling language is then used to specify relations and constraints between requirements e.g. that two requirements are mutually-dependent. This enriched model is then used to specify the requirements for individual variants, and, ultimately to drive the generation of the software for the variant. The resulting models may then be imported back into CaliberRMTM e.g. to allow traceability from requirements to product variants.
