2/1/2006 - Smart Network Devices will launch at Embedded World 2006 in hall 12 booth 326 for the first time a OEM module for fast and easy start in real time Ethernet applications based on STMicroelectronics SPEArNet processor complementing its new embedded operation system 4NetOS. This tiny StarTarget7 board of just 3x3,8 cms in size is optimised for industrial applications and building automation as it integrates an Ethernet hub and thus enables simple and efficient line topologies. 2 Mbyte flash memory and 8 Mbyte SDRAM offer plenty memory space for individual extensions. 4NetOS takes only 100 to 300 kbyte memory space depending on the stage of expansion. The board is specified for the extended temperature range from – 40 °C to + 85 °C.
SPEAr is a pending trademark application of STMicroelectronics Group
