1/24/2006 - Roaming MessengerTM (OTCBB: RMSG), the provider of a breakthrough mobile messaging platform, reports that channel partner, Starnet Data Design, Inc., has deployed an upgraded and expanded Roaming Messenger system to its customer, Caltrol, Inc. The expansion provides Caltrol with more robust Roaming Messenger capabilities from the 3Com NBX LAN Telephony system, installed by Starnet.
Caltrol, a provider of process automation and control systems engineering and integration services to the pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, petrochemical, food & beverage, and power industries, has been utilizing Roaming Messenger's real-time mobile messaging capabilities to provide its client service personnel with interactive alerts and notifications when they are in the field. For Caltrol, reaching their service personnel in a timely fashion is critical to the bottom line, because of guaranteed response times in their service level agreements. If a customer is experiencing down time, then Caltrol may experience negative consequences to their profitability.
After a trial deployment over a year ago, Caltrol requested Starnet to enhance its current 3Com NBX implementation by providing an upgrade to its voicemail system by integrating Roaming Messenger capabilities. After a month of configuration, testing and training, the new system was activated earlier this month. The new Roaming Messenger functionality enables Caltrol to significantly enhance their ability to respond to after-hours service requests, thereby increasing Caltrol's overall customer service and satisfaction levels.
