1/20/2006 - Kane Computing are now selling the new Lyrtech VHS-ADC-V4, the latest in their VHS range of high speed Virtex-4 based multi-channel input/output cards. This higher speed member of its multi-channel cPCI data acquisition line of products is specifically targeted at advanced multiple input/multiple output (MIMO) technologies.
The VHS-ADC-V4 is claimed to be the only solution world-wide that can acquire 16 RF channels and process them to IF and baseband levels.
The VHS-ADC-V4 can be used with other Lyrtech DSP/FPGA boards such as the SignalMaster Quad.
Equipped with 8 to 16 channels capable of a maximum sampling rate of 105 MHz, a customizable range of powerful Xilinx Virtex-4 FPGA for high-speed processing, and model-based design capabilities, the VHS-ADC-V4 allows its users to create state-of-the art embedded solutions for applications such as smart antenna, beam forming, wireless router, software-defined radio, geolocation, space-time processing, as well as phased-array radar, and other multi-channel, high-speed systems.
"Combined with its board software package, the VHS-ADC-V4 offers ease of interfacing and advanced design flow capabilities. Fully integrated with The MathWorks environment MATLAB® and the Xilinx System GeneratorTM for DSP, the solution allows users to develop a functional prototype of their applications quickly and to optimize code and final hardware through efficient paths," states Louis Bélanger, Lyrtech Executive Vice President and Product Development Manager.
