9/2/2005 - Tremendous momentum continued in Q2/05 propelling I-Logix to new heights, resulting in the highest revenue quarter in the company’s 18-year history. Fueling record sales levels, strong demand continued from military/aerospace companies plus a substantial increase in revenues came from the automotive and telecommunications sectors, pushing the company’s sales, earnings and cash generation to historically high levels.
“Q2 ’05 was I-Logix’s most successful quarter ever. Our revenues are up 25% in the first half of 2005 over the first half of 2004, and our profits are up 300%. I-Logix is on course to grow over 25% in 2005 and the view into 2006 is equally exciting.” Gene Robinson, CEO I-Logix, said.
I-Logix’s Rhapsody 6.0, the embedded industry’s leading Model-Driven Development (MDD) solution, revved the engine driving the Q2 gains, earning a reputation as the state-of-the art tool suite for embedded systems engineers and software developers. Rhapsody’s success is reflected in the record sales, maintenance renewals, and consulting bookings from new and existing customers.
Notable orders in Q2 came from a diverse cross-section of industries and corporations. From the military/aerospace sector General Dynamics, lTT Avionics Division, Northrup Grumman, Smiths Aerospace, Hamilton Sundstrand, L-3 Communications, Saab Bofors and Rockwell set the pace. Alcatel CIT, Fujitsu, Motorola, Tadiran and the Andrew Corporation were among the major telecommunications sector customers that chose I-Logix products in Q2/05. Transportation customers included ITT Industries, Siemens VDD, Daimler Chrysler AG, General Motors Corporation and Nissan.
Additionally, Rhapsody added yet another award to its growing list of credits when the tool suite was named the “Best in class tool solution for C developers” by Embedded Market Forecasters (EMF) of Framingham, MA, a dedicated Embedded Systems market research analyst group. EMF endorsed I-Logix Rhapsody in C® as the best Model-Driven Development (MDD) tool available for tackling the challenges of using modeling, simulation and code generation to get embedded applications to market faster.
Capping the quarter, I-Logix’s continued growth in the Japanese marketplace, where revenues are running 100% over plan, was bolstered by a an exceptionally strong showing at the ESC Japan show held in Tokyo in June. Generating 400% more inquires than a typical show, the interest and inquiries about Rhapsody and Statemate tool suites validated the tremendous opportunity available to I-Logix in the Japanese marketplace.
