7/13/2005 - Good Technology, the leading provider of industry standards-based wireless handheld computing software and service, announced it has acquired key technology assets and engineering talents from JP Mobile, Inc. JP Mobile, a pioneer in wireless handheld computing, was founded in 1995 and has maintained operations in Dallas and Hyderabad, India, both of which will be integrated into Good.
Building on Good Technology’s strategy to deliver the wireless technologies and services that best meet the needs of the enterprise, the acquisition gives Good Technology access to advanced server technologies that connect with a variety of back-ends, including IBM Lotus Notes and Domino, Novell GroupWise and IMAP. JP Mobile also brings to Good key handheld data security technologies and key team members with significant experience building mobile solutions for enterprises.
