EmulationEngine Wins Best of Show Award for Evaluation Products

6/21/2005 - Underscoring its growing, global acceptance as a de facto standard in Wi-Fi and wireless network security product testing, Communication Machinery Corporation's (www.cmc.com) EmulationEngine Family of test systems was selected as Best of Show: Special Prize for Appraisal-related products in the Test and Measurement Tool category at Interop Tokyo 2005. More than 300 companies exhibited an array of products, solutions, and services related to network technologies at the event, many of which were considered for the awards.

"We are honored to receive this class of industry recognition," commented Dave Swan, CEO of Communication Machinery Corporation. "This award from industry experts and those involved in the day-to-day design and deployment of wireless LAN and other network products echoes the tributes we hear from our customers for the EmulationEngine Family."

Featured in the ComWorth Co., Ltd. booth during the event, the EmulationEngine drew crowds throughout the week anxious to see the product demonstrated. As a result CMC will begin volume shipments to Japan next month, as it completes Telec Certification, to meet the explosive demand generated by the show.

The Interop Tokyo "Best of Show Award" is given to the product, solution or service that is the best and most suitable to the show theme "The Internet Technology for the Ubiquitous World." The winning products are selected based on a strict examination by experts from the IT industry as well as votes from show attendees. Awards were granted in 16 key network technology categories ranging from Network Security Products to IP Communication Products.

The EmulationEngine Family is a powerful hardware platform that creates a foundation for testing 802.11a, b, and g protocols and wireless LAN security protocols such as WPA, 802.1x, as well as WLAN system performance and capacity through user control of up to 64 concurrent 802.11 virtual stations (vSTA.). With the EmulationEngine, engineers can load, stress and performance test these basic 802.11 protocols and products through their choice of the EmulationEngine 11a/b/g, a multi-mode emulator and the EE-WPA, which adds full security protocol capabilities, both of which deliver maximum flexibility for tri-band, multimode security performance testing requirements. With CMC.s EmulationEngine Family, users can reduce capital costs, complexity and design problem risks while attaining a critical level of testing capability. The EmulationEngine products are field upgradeable giving companies a built-in migration path, which protects their initial investment.
