6/14/2005 - Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NYSE:CDN) (Nasdaq:CDN) announced it has ported the popular Cadence® EncounterTM digital IC design platform onto 64-bit Intel® XeonTM processor-based systems with Linux to deliver higher performance and increased capacity for large designs.
The latest releases of Encounter RTL Compiler synthesis and SoC Encounter Global Physical Synthesis (GPS) RTL-to-GDSII system, now includes support for this port, as well as other feature enhancements. The Intel Xeon processor is compatible with 32 and 64-bit designs and ensures a flexible, consistent and scalable computing and design environment.
