Featuring low voltage Intel® Celeron/Pentium® M processors to 1.4 GHz, and a foot print of only 10.41” x 2.72”x 5.4” (264.5 mm x 69.2 mm x 137.25 mm) with protected housing, the rugged ARK-3380 Series can be mounted inside machinery or other equipment/housing, or standalone by wall or DIN rail mount. The series accepts a wide range of power supplies (DC-power in) and choice of CFC SSD drive or 2.5” HDD. The cast aluminum chassis not only provides great protection from EMI, shock (5G), vibration, dust, cold and heat, but also acts as a functional heat sink to ensure low temperature operation (-20 ~ + 60°C).
Every ARK-3380 Series unit offers industry-standard turn-key solutions, or full customization support with Advantech’s industry leading Build-to-Order Service (BTOS) and Design-to-Order Service (DTOS). Ideally Suited For Diverse Vertical Application Needs: ARK-3380/3381/3382
The ARK-3380 Series includes application-ready platforms designed for specific vertical market applications. The ARK-3380 offers comprehensive multimedia I/O support featuring dual display, TV-out, DVI, LVDS and SC97 stereo audio. This series targets applications like POS/POI, intelligent traffic monitoring, and machine vision systems. The ARK-3381 comes with multiple I/O support featuring 5 x RS-232/422/484, 1 x RS-232 and 1 x RS-232 (Rx/Tx only without handshaking). The ARK-3381 supports applications for environment and facilities monitoring, kiosks, tolling and ticketing, and entrance controls as well as medical devices with multiple device connectivity. The ARK-3382 supports intensive networking capability by offering 4 x 10/100 Base-T Ethernet plus LAN bypass function support. This makes the ARK-3382 ideal for industrial and security gateway applications which require intensive LAN communication, such as firewall or VPN.

Customization Using Advantech Build To Order and design To Order Services

BTOS: Advantech’s ARK-BTOS works by offering customers a base ARK-3389 platform combined with a choice of a preconfigured Module I/O (MIO) bus application module (ARK-MIO Assembly kit), customized front/rear I/O faceplates and choice of memory, storage and OS. Customers simply choose from desired feature/function sets to get the exact configuration they need. A licensed Microsoft® Windows® XP Embedded OS image can be ported as well. BTOS reduces platform overhead by reducing unnecessary components and greatly streamlines platform development time.
DTOS: For customers requiring even greater customization, Advantech’s ARK-DTOS can help design the customer’s MIO application module and customized front/rear I/O faceplate (including logo printing and ID) to match their specific application and ID needs.
