SPIRIT Debuts TeamSpirit Java Voice Engine for Multi-Point IP Conferencing

3/30/2005 - SPIRIT (www.spiritdsp.com/teamspirit_java.html), the leading supplier of embedded software products for digital voice communication, announces TeamSpiritTMJava - java-version of TeamSpiritTM - field-proven Voice Engine for Multi-Point IP Conferencing.

The main feature distinguishing TeamSpiritTM from other alternatives on the market is the multi-point mode that enables dozens of users to participate in a conference simultaneously. It doesn't matter how many participants take part in the conference, their speech still remains clear and easy to understand even during simultaneous talk. TeamSpiritTMJava is a Java library for creating Java applets to enable the following features:

To join a conference user simply clicks on the conference URL in the invitation e-mail (if any) or just types it in the browser address toolbar. The Java-applet will be downloaded to cache and the user can instantly listen to the real-time conference without installing any client-side software. Even if user is unable to take an active part in the conference he still has the opportunity to listen in and keep informed of the content, or review the conference recorded and stored at conferencing server.

No special codecs or players are downloaded or installed on the user's PC. This feature enables remote conference access from any public PCs, even ones with strictly limited access rights.

"TeamSpiritTM was initially designed to meet all requirements for business collaboration suites", - says Andrew Sviridenko, chairman of SPIRIT. "One of the most demanded business needs is the ability to keep in touch with partners, customers, and colleagues at any time from any location. TeamSpiritTMJava makes this possible as it overcomes access limitations of public Internet points and ensures remote conference participation with natural and easy-to-follow voice quality."
