3/15/2005 - Abacus Group is partnering with Microsoft and some of the top names in embedded engineering to run a third workshop that gives the growing number of embedded software development engineers hands-on experience in running Windows® CE.NET and XP Embedded on next generation processors, and offers an introduction to the features of the recently introduced CE.net 5.0 and XPe-OPOS releases. One lucky delegate will win an XBOX or a development kit, and all attendees will receive the opportunity to buy Windows CE.net or XPe development kits at a 20% discount.
This workshop will be run in conjunction with MPC Data, DSP Design, Intrinsyc, Plexus and Kuka Controls. In addition to reviewing how to make use of the new features in Microsoft Embedded Operating Systems, the day will look at how to select the most appropriate hardware platform, and how to optimise your software to minimise overall system cost. Information will also be provided on board support packages, software drivers and real-time applications.
There will also be hands-on labs that will give attendees an opportunity to use the Windows CE.NET and XP Embedded with Processor Embedded Development tools and discuss current projects with Microsoft and Abacus specialists.
As an added bonus, all delegates get the opportunity to buy.
