3/3/2005 - EclipseCon is one of the leading events for the Eclipse community. This session brings developers up to speed on the latest features in the Eclipse C/C++ Development Tools (CDT) project, and offers a practical introduction to the CDT's rich toolset for editing, analyzing, debugging, and building code. Plus, participants will get an early look at features slated for Eclipse CDT v3.0.
Eclipse CDT is fast becoming the de facto standard for writing embedded applications in C and C++. This session, delivered by a key Eclipse architect, offers developers and project managers a unique opportunity to learn how Eclipse CDT can enhance productivity, simplify tool-to-tool integration, and enable a highly flexible "best of breed" approach to tool selection.
Sebastien Marineau-Mes is project leader for the Eclipse C/C++ Development Tools (CDT) project and director of the OS Development Group at QNX Software Systems. A popular speaker at embedded technology conferences, Mr. Marineau possesses a wide range of expertise, including realtime operating systems, IDEs, protocol stacks, high availability systems, and symmetric multiprocessing applications. Mr. Marineau is also the networking architect at QNX Software Systems, in charge of all RTOS decisions relating to the networking market. In 2002, he spearheaded the development of the QNX Momentics development suite, one of the first commercial IDEs for embedded development based on Eclipse.
