Software Acumen Introduces pure::variants Synchronizer for DOORS
12/8/2005 - Requirements Management for multiple product variants is a well-known problem due to the difficulty of specifying how requirements differ between products. However, DOORS® users now have a solution to this problem - pure::variants Synchronizer for DOORS® - an add-in for the pure::variants variant management toolset.
Synchronizer for DOORS® allows your *existing* DOORS® Requirements Modules to be exported to pure::variants as Feature Models. pure::variants’ rich modelling language is then used to specify relations and constraints between requirements e.g. that two requirements are mutually exclusive. The enriched model is then used to specify the requirements for individual variants. The resulting models may then be imported back into DOORS® e.g. to allow traceability from requirements to product variants.
