10/26/2005 - I-Logix enthusiastically announced, just after closing their 3rd quarter, that Q3 was the highest bookings quarter in the company's history with a growth of 51% over Q3 2004.
With 31% total revenue growth for all products and services, bookings for Rhapsody, the company's flagship Unified Modeling Language (UMLTM) / Model-Driven Development (MDD) solution, grew by an astounding 71%. Operating income grew, year-over-year, by almost 60% and for the first time this year, operating income, as a percent of sales, was in double digits while the company's net cash position reached a new record.
The company reported that while there continues to be outstanding growth in Japan, sales in the USA and Europe far exceeded both expectations and operating plans.
I-Logix credits the exceptional quarter to a continued shift of UML / MDD solutions from early adopter to mainstream, coupled with an unprecedented interest in, and acceptance of, the company's latest version of Rhapsody 6.1. This feature-packed release includes two completely new standalone systems modeling and SysML compliant products, notably Rhapsody Systems Architect and Rhapsody Systems Designer, both of which, in addition to the entire Rhapsody family, optionally integrate to the latest I-Logix high-powered Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) module offering DoDAF compliant input and output. Additionally, Rhapsody 6.1 extends a new user customizable rules based code generator, a new small footprint C language code generator plus new MISRA C code generation capabilities.
"Our products are the modeling tools of choice for all technology sectors, from automotive to aerospace/military to telecommunications to consumer to industrial automation and to medical market applications," Gene Robinson, CEO I-Logix, said. Robinson further added, "In Q3 2005, I-Logix recorded the highest number of orders exceeding $100,000 in the company's 18-year history."
The company reported that sales in all industry segments were strong with exceptional sales in the Telecommunications sector, where one order, which exceeded $750,000, replaced a competitive installation at sites in both the UK and the USA.
