XEMICS Showcases Ultra Low Power Wireless Products at Electronica

9/21/2004 - XEMICS, a provider of integrated circuits and associated reference designs for short-range wireless connectivity will be showcasing ultra low power wireless products from the 9th - 12th November, 2004 at Electronica. You can visit them in Hall A5, stand 176. XEMICS brings another dimension to ultra low power. These easy to implement solutions are ideal for portable, battery-operated devices for personal information, communication, security or entertainment, as well as data acquisition and communication devices for building automation (security, climate, and light), utility metering and home control.

XEMICS will be highlighting the XE1431 ultra low power Bluetooth® controller for data and voice applications. This uses a unique architecture to maximize power efficiency. The XE1431 is based on the XEMICS' EasyBlueTM Controller which independently executes a significant part of the protocol stack. In addition, the XE1431 includes an on-chip audio CODEC as well as an application controller with its high speed UART, SPI interface, RC oscillator, I/Os and power management unit. The true 1.8V design in combination with the ultra low current consumption guarantees XEMICS' leadership in providing the lowest power Bluetooth solutions on the market. By combining the XE1431 with the Bluetooth radio XEMICS recently licensed from Skyworks, a "Flash" based headset consuming less than 20 mW @ 1.8V can be built.

XEMICS will also be demonstrating the recently released TrueRFTM multi channel, narrow-band, ETSI compliant transceiver for operation in the 433/868/915MHz bands. As with all the TrueRF products, the XE1205 offers superior performances with +15dBm output power and high sensitivity without the need for SAW filters or external power amplifiers. The XE1205 is ideal for applications such as social alarms, security, automatic metering, services and control as well as remote keyless entry.

XEMICS' products provide sensing, local processing and communication. They deliver sound/voice, pressure, temperature, acceleration, time, position, speed, or other types of data through a short-range wireless link.
