9/17/2004 - Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR) announced the learning track sessions scheduled for OJX--Compuware’s next-generation, interactive Java development learning festival and the Midwest’s premier technology event. OJX will provide development professionals from the Midwest and Canada with an expert-driven immersion in the latest Java trends, technologies and issues with sessions presented by visionaries hailing from Compuware, Sun Microsystems, BEA Systems and others. OJX also will feature Gartner’s Michael Blechar, conducting an IT management track.
Providing an in-depth curriculum for everyone involved in enterprise software development, OJX will feature technology and business sessions on highly productive Java development strategies and techniques that will benefit developers, IT managers, CIOs and technology students. OJX attendees will learn about the latest Java advances, such as leveraging development best practices through patterns, making Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) visions a reality and practical strategies for offering organizations of all sizes measurable gains in development productivity and cost-savings.
OJX will be held on Thursday, September 23, at Compuware’s world headquarters in Detroit, with registration beginning at 11:00 a.m. and the keynote address at 12:45 p.m. Featured presenters include Compuware’s Edwin Schumacher, Director of Java Product Strategy, and Wim Bast, noted author and Compuware Java Architect, both discussing Compuware’s vision for the future of Java development. Additionally, CTO of Sun Microsystems, Hal Stern, will discuss Java’s current state, its evolution and strategies to optimize Java as a platform. Educational track sessions begin at 1:30 p.m. and end with a moderated panel of technology experts.
