Ashling Rolls Out Philips LPC2000 ARM7 Starter Kit for $295

9/13/2004 - Ashling Microsystems has introduced the Ashling LPC2000 starter kit (ASK-2000), costing $295, for Philips’ LPC2000 ARM7-based microcontroller family. The kit includes an evaluation board with a built-in JTAG debugger, an evaluation version of Ashling’s Integrated Development Environment (AsIDE) and GNU compiler and an evaluation version (32K code size restriction) of Ashling’s PathFinder for LPC2000 source debugger. Together the kit provides all the necessary software and documentation needed to get designers up and running quickly using the LPC2000 microcontrollers.

Commenting on the products, John Murphy, Managing Director of Ashling Microsystems, said "We have worked closely with Philips from the inception of the LPC2000 microcontroller architecture. The Ashling ASK-2000 starter kit is the most fully featured starter kit available in the market and gives users debugging of up to 32K of code size for under $300. Customers can realize superb performance and value for money with this Ashling kit. In addition to the starter kits, Ashling offers a complete range of tools for LPC2000 development to suit a variety of requirements and budgets.”

In support of the Ashling Starter Kits, Geoff Lees, Product Line Director, Microcontrollers at Philips Semiconductors, said “Philips is delighted to continue our long-time relationship with Ashling with development tools for the LPC2000 family. We’re very pleased to see them offering such a competitive Starter Kit to the market, helping customers to quickly and easily begin using our microcontrollers.”
