NMS's MyCaller Ringback Tone Powers Ericsson's Personal Greeting Service

9/10/2004 - NMS Communications (NASDAQ: NMSS), the leading provider of technologies and solutions for enhanced services and efficient networks, announced that they have entered into a global distribution and licensing agreement with Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERICY), the leading telecommunications supplier.

Under the terms of the agreement, Ericsson is incorporating NMS's MyCallerTM ringback tone (RBT) functionality into their Personal Greeting Service (PGS). MyCaller empowers subscribers to select world-class original recordings of music, sounds, and voices for callers to hear in place of the conventional ringback. PGS is a turnkey solution, which incorporates the industry's leading switch and intelligent network (IN) offering. The addition of MyCaller to PGS gives mobile operators the opportunity to quickly introduce ringback and other content-based mobile services.

"We are very excited to be partnering with a telecommunications leader like Ericsson. With one of the largest footprints in the switch and IN space, they offer us a fantastic channel opportunity for MyCaller, which already has more than 15 million subscribers in Asia and expectations for explosive growth in EMEA and the Americas," said Brian Demers, Vice President, Mobile Applications, NMS Communications, "Pairing this premier RBT solution with Ericsson's Personal Greeting Service will provide our customers with the best in next-generation enhanced communications services."
