StarGen's Chief Scientist Presents at Intel Developer Forum

9/8/2004 - David Mayhew, StarGen’s chief scientist, was invited to present a session entitled “Advanced Switching Interconnect in Access, Telecom Server and Storage Applications” at this week’s Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco. Part of the Advanced Switching Architecture track, the presentation is designed to provide attendees with a better understanding of how Advanced Switching Interconnect (ASI) technology can be implemented in these types of applications. The Advanced Switching Architecture program, presented by Intel and other industry leaders, provides a detailed technical overview of ASI architecture, application usage models and other key technology updates.

StarGen, a fabless semiconductor company specializing in advanced serial switched interconnect solutions, has sold over two hundred thousand StarFabric ports to more than 50 customers worldwide, with design wins across a broad spectrum of markets including storage, communications, high performance imaging, automated test, and video distribution, among many others. The Advanced Switching product line, slated for delivery in early 2005, will feature a family of bridges and switches based on the emerging PCI Express and Advanced Switching Interconnect industry standards.

The Intel Developer Forum (http://www.intel.com/idf/), a premier technical conference for the systems and solutions communities, will take place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA. StarGen will be exhibiting at booth #350.

The conference will take place from Tuesday through Thursday, September 7 - September 9. David Mayhew’s session(ASAS003) will take place on Tuesday, September 7th at 4:00 p.m.
