8/20/2004 - Ceragon Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ: CRNT), www.ceragon.com, a global provider of high-capacity broadband wireless systems, introduced FibeAir 4858, a carrier-class wireless transmission system. Ceragon’s FibeAir 4858 is a robust, low-cost, point-to-point (PTP) system that ensures immediate connectivity for voice and data over a single radio link.
FibeAir 4858 carries IP and TDM over 5.725- 5.850 GHz license-exempt bands and is suitable for remote site connectivity and effective backhauling for wireless ISPs, hotspots and cellular applications. This product provides a maximum rate of 48 Mbps, Ethernet and up to 6xE1/T1’s. FibeAir 4858 can operate at a maximum distance of 80 Km (50 miles) and complies with ETSI and FCC regulatory standards.

FibeAir 4858 is a split-mount radio configuration, and it is a compact and complete solution which can be used with either an integral antenna or a variety of external antennas. It utilizes Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technology with non-line of sight (NLOS) capabilities. FibeAir 4858 also offers telecom grade of E1/T1 abilities in addition to the IP services and it is managed by an SNMP based user-friendly application.
