8/6/2004 - Parasoft, a leading provider of Automated Error Prevention (AEP) software solutions, announced the release of C++Test 2.3, a unit testing and coding standard analysis tool. Designed to help developers prevent software errors, C++Test 2.3 also ensures that code is structurally sound, reliable, maintainable, and portable. The new C++Test 2.3 will be featured at LinuxWorld at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, August 3-5.
By introducing new features for creating and sharing Test Configurations and Project Configurations, C++Test 2.3 helps an entire development team streamline and standardize unit testing and coding standard analysis efforts. Team-wide sharing is managed by Parasoft Team Configuration Manager, a program (available separately) that enables centralization, administration, and team-wide sharing of test settings and files.
"C++Test's new configuration and sharing capabilities make unit testing and coding standard analysis practical for C and C++ development teams, allowing them to seamlessly integrate these beneficial practices into their current development processes," said Sergei Sokolov, Manager of Professional Services. "We want to make error prevention as effortless as possible so that teams can boost code quality without sacrificing additional time and resources."
Parasoft will introduce C++Test 2.3 and several other Parasoft products at LinuxWorld, August 3-5. Find Parasoft at booth 470 in the Moscone Center, 747 Howard Street, San Francisco.
C++Test 2.3 is available for Linux, Solaris, and Windows NT/2000/XP.
Parasoft C++Test is an Automated Error Prevention product that automates C and C++ unit testing and coding standard analysis to help prevent software errors and ensure that code is structurally sound, reliable, maintainable, and portable. C++Test analyzes C functions or C++ classes, then generates and executes a test harness, test cases, and stubs designed to verify the code under test. You can add and customize test cases and stubs through user-friendly GUI controls, and view coverage details for all automatically-generated and user-defined test cases. C++Test also checks whether code follows 500+ coding standard rules plus any number of custom rules.
