8/5/2004 - Tektronix, Inc. (NYSE: TEK), a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, announced that the company will be demonstrating its broad range of Video and MPEG test, monitoring and measurement products at IBC 2004, 10-14th September to be held at the Amsterdam RAI. For the expected 40,000 attendees, Tektronix will exhibit a variety of equipment important to the video industry including several recent product introductions.
This includes the recently announced Tektronix' Waveform Rasterizer family aimed at broadcast confidence monitoring and production applications. Supporting mixed analogue and digital, video and audio environments and fitted with alarm and logging capabilities, these products are revolutionising video and audio monitoring using Tektronix' FlexVuTM technology and comprehensive error alarms and logging. Also at the show will be Tektronix' recently launched SPG600 and SPG300 Sync Signal Generators, using Stay GenLockTM technology to provide the best signal synchronization available in the video industry. This provides stable synchronization signals, which are critical to maintaining system timing required by digital and traditional broadcast facilities.
Additionally on display will be new Tektronix AD953A portable MPEG-2 test system. The AD953A includes an integrated high-resolution display, making it easy and convenient to move the test system from lab to lab or offsite for commissioning tests. The new MPEG tool addresses H.264 and Windows Media 9 Series, enabling video equipment manufacturers to verify emerging video applications.
