Micro Digital Supports Acrosser's AR-B1551 pc104 SBC with SMX RTOS

7/28/2004 - Micro Digital & Acrosser U.S.A are pleased to announce that Micro Digital (SMX®) will provide RTOS support for Acrosser’s B1551 embedded single board computer.

Fast, predictable real-time response will always be a must for mission-critical systems. Project designers need a real-time operating system that combines the nimble response and determinism of a real-time microkernel with the security of a well-designed RTOS. An RTOS is important to facilitate the production, execution, and testing of mission-critical code.

Micro Digital offers smxBSP for Acrosser’s AR-B1551 pc104 SBC. A complete SMX evaluation kit will be bundled with this embedded single-board computer in each engineering evaluation sample. This package will give customers help to make the move to a 32-bit protected mode RTOS-based design, as quickly as possible.

SMX for 32-bit protected mode guarantees hardware resources and real-time performance to developers creating applications on the AR-B1551 for network storage, networking, high-end graphics, mission-critical military systems and other compute-intensive markets. In the future, Micro Digital will provide RTOS support for each of Acrosser’s embedded computer boards.
