The MathWorks Supports Nordic Customers with New Office in Sweden

6/28/2004 - The MathWorks announced it will open a direct office in Stockholm, Sweden on July 1, 2004 and has named Yngve Nygren as Managing Director to oversee the new location. The office will serve Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway as well as Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, and Lithuania. This new location will enable The MathWorks to provide direct support and services to its growing Nordic customer base of over 1800 companies in the automotive, communications, and aerospace markets.

“Opening a direct office in Sweden offers us the best opportunity to enhance our support and significantly grow our business in the Nordic region,” said Jeanne O’Keefe, senior vice president, The MathWorks. “This new office, staffed with sales, application engineering, and technical support, will provide direct service to our Nordic customers and be a strong link to the established resources of the other worldwide offices.”

The new Swedish office further expands The MathWorks presence in Europe, where the Company currently has direct offices in Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. The MathWorks also opened its first direct Asia Pacific office in February, 2004, located in Seoul, South Korea. In countries where The MathWorks does not have a direct presence, it continues to be served by authorized MathWorks distributors and resellers.
