6/25/2004 - Multi-Tech Systems, Inc., a leading data communications and telecommunications technology company based in suburban Minneapolis, has an answer for companies that do not want their incoming calls answered by an auto attendant or receptionist. Used on PBX and phone equipment that do not support DID calling, the newly announced CallFinder will allow callers to dial directly to extensions bypassing the normal receptionist or voice prompted menus. It is an upgrade to legacy PBXs and new non-DID phone systems without investing in expensive new equipment. Shipping next month, the CallFinder, Model number CF220, will be priced at an MSRP of US$799.

The CallFinder enables your phone system to directly route incoming calls to end-user extensions using two DID ports and two programmable FXO/FXS ports. It is easy to install requiring simple phone line connections, power supply connections, and a web browser interface for system configuration, management and call logging. CallFinder makes DID as efficient as it was intended at a cost that is very manageable.”
The CallFinder DID-to-analog adapter, Model CF220, connects to PBXs and phone systems that do not support DID lines. The CallFinder enables those phone systems to directly route incoming DID calls to extensions. The CF220 interprets the DID phone numbers and pass them off through the analog ports as DTMF tones to the PBX which in turn rings the appropriate extensions. This eliminates the need for a receptionist or auto-attendant voice menu dialing.
The CallFinder can interface to most call processing systems capable of detecting ringing, loop current and providing on/off hook control. It supports two DID circuits that can be programmed to support wink, immediate or delay-dial service types. In addition it offers answer supervision and passes audio notification, from the switch, back to the Central office (audio ring and busy).
The CallFinder’s management, control and call logging interface is a browser-based program managed over any TCP/IP network or PC connected to the unit.
