IONA Webcasts Strategies for Meeting New Integration Challenges

6/23/2004 - IONA® Technologies (NASDAQ: IONA), a world leader in high-performance integration solutions for mission-critical IT environments, will use its successful Webcast series to provide best practices for incorporating Web services integration capabilities at the network edge via application endpoints. "Distributing Integration Capabilities to the Edges of the Network" is scheduled for Wednesday, June 24 at 12 p.m. EDT and will be presented by IONA's Peter Cousins, Artix technical director.

"Finding the best way to ensure efficient integration and interoperability with other enterprise applications and information resources has always been a challenge and that challenge is only increasing as new technologies and computing methodologies emerge," said Mr. Cousins. "Many traditional integration approaches rely on expensive technology architected as a central hub of the enterprise. By embedding multi-middleware touchpoints into an enterprise application, organizations can move away from the hub and spoke integration model and ultimately increase performance, security and reliability."

Attendees of the Webcast will learn:

  • How a multi-middleware integration strategy can drive adoption of distributed service-oriented architectures
  • How WSDL can be used to best define multi-middleware integration endpoints
  • How a multi-middleware integration strategy can reduce the costs associated with development and maintenance of enterprise solutions
