6/22/2004 - Pronto Networks, a leading provider of carrier-class OSS solutions for large Wi-Fi hot spot networks, announced an agreement with Graybar, North America’s largest distributor of telecommunications and electrical products, to distribute Pronto’s back-office public Wi-Fi solutions to resellers servicing the communications and hospitality markets.
Under the agreement, Graybar will offer Pronto Networks’ complete line of public Wi-Fi solutions, including Pronto’s turnkey Wi-Fi appliance and carrier-grade Wi-Fi Operations Support System (OSS) software through Graybar’s network of 250 locations in the United States and Canada. Graybar’s sales force will actively promote Pronto’s solutions to Tier 1 and Tier 2 service providers and into the rapidly growing Wi-Fi hospitality market.
“Our agreement with Graybar is well timed,” said Eric Dentler, Director of Business Development at Pronto Networks. “Graybar’s trusted expertise in advanced networking and systems integration and broad customer reach are essential to addressing the market’s desire to upgrade outdated, first generation back-end systems with robust, managed Wi-Fi business solutions from Pronto Networks.”
“We are enormously pleased to be partnering with the leading back-office solutions provider in the public WLAN segment,” said Al Eddings, Vice President, Comm/Data Products for Graybar. “Pronto’s products are a great addition to our existing communications and data product portfolio and provide us an immediate entrée into the rapidly emerging public Wi-Fi market.”
Pronto Networks’ Wi-Fi solutions are available immediately and will be on display at SUPERCOMM in Chicago (June 22-24) in Graybar’s booth (#11800).
