6/16/2004 - National Instruments (NI) announced an NI DIAdem online forum for data analysis and report generation where users can share ideas and access a variety of free DIAdem resources. For instance, the currently featured example program helps engineers perform order analysis and joint time-frequency analysis on stored data faster and easier for sound and vibration applications.
DIAdem software, designed for managing, inspecting, analyzing and reporting test data, provides a unified environment for transforming data into information needed to drive engineering decisions. At the DIAdem online forum, users learn how to better understand their test data through information such as white papers, how-to guides and a variety of example programs that will rotate throughout the year.
Currently, users can download a DIAdem example program that demonstrates a unique and efficient way to perform order analysis and joint time-frequency analysis for machine monitoring; noise, vibration and harshness (NVH); and audio test applications. By taking advantage of the report and analysis capabilities of DIAdem, users can learn how to extract essential data for exploring inconsistencies and other details in their order analysis and joint time-frequency analysis results. In the upcoming months, users will be able to access other example programs for using DIAdem on topics such as building SQL table readers, calling NI LabVIEW VIs and incorporating LabVIEW to build technical data management systems.
"DIAdem software increases productivity by integrating tools for managing, inspecting, analyzing and reporting test data," said Tom Ferraro, NI DIAdem product manager. "Engineers can visit the DIAdem online forum to view examples that show solutions for a variety of applications. The current example program reveals the interactive analysis capabilities of DIAdem while demonstrating how engineers can use automation to save valuable time and extract meaningful results from their sound and vibration test data."
The DIAdem online forum features links to user solutions as well as discussion forums on NI Developer Zone, where DIAdem users share ideas, questions and solutions. New users can download a free evaluation version of DIAdem software to test example applications. All users can log on to the DIAdem online forum today by visiting ni.com/info and entering ex8wvc.
