6/14/2004 - Kontron introduced the new module standard with Intel back in November 2003, now with an active working on the development of the standard the definition is prospering and call for participating with the PICMG has been issued.
Kontron is working with industry leading companies world wide and is pleased to announce the joint marketing activity with Advantech, ADLink to promote the ETXexpress product brand to the embedded market. It is the first cooperation on such scale for Kontron and Advantech, ADLink third parties have the best expectations on the success on the ETXexpress products. New ETXexpress standard supports hardware solutions that are based on current bus systems such as 32-bit PCI, and ISA bus (via LPC), as well as 6 PCI Express x 1 Lanes and PCI Express cards, GigaBit Ethernet, 8 USB 2.0, Serial ATA and Parallel ATA interfaces, LVDS and so forth.
