Targa Debuts USB Data Transfer Systems for Military and Aerospace
5/24/2004 - Targa Systems Division of L-3 Communications, accelerating its leadership in providing solid-state data storage solutions for military & aerospace applications, introduced a new line of Data Transfer Systems for the Military and Aerospace markets.
Targa’s USB 1.1 & USB 2.0 "bulk transport" compliant Data Transfer Systems (DTS) have been developed to meet the demands for increasing interface speed, flexibility and ease of integration.
The USB interface has been added to both of Targa’s PC Card (Series 3) and Removable Disk (Series 4) Data Transfer System product lines.
PC Card DTU
Accommodates all capacities of industry standard SanDisk PC Cards, which are currently available in capacities from 32MBytes up to 2GB over a –40C to < +85C operating temperature range
Removable Disk DTU
These removable 2 1/2” FLASH disks are available in capacities from 256MB to 9GBytes and are capable of supporting the highest USB “bulk transport” data rates
Both of these products are available in a compact (k=4) Dzus rail panel mount (CDU style) form factor unit with either 28Vdc or 5Vdc power input. The PC Card DTU is also available in a smaller floppy disk internal mount form factor.
