U.S. Navy Selects Titan for $15 Million SPAWAR Contract

5/18/2004 - The Titan Corporation (NYSE:TTN) announced that the U.S. Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) Systems Center, San Diego, has awarded the company an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) four-year contract (one-year base period with three option years), having a potential value, with options if exercised, of $15,128,307. Under this award, Titan will provide software engineering, systems engineering, and technical and management support services for information assurance and radio frequency engineering systems and programs.

"Titan has been providing information assurance engineering and program support expertise to San Diego's SPAWAR Systems Center for over eight years," said Gene Ray, Titan's chairman, president and CEO. "This latest award further demonstrates our customer's satisfaction with Titan and the company’s unique strength in delivering software engineering, systems engineering, and program management support for our nation's military services."

With this award, Titan will continue providing systems engineering, independent verification and validation, network security engineering and analysis, training, product evaluation and integration and security accreditation support for a variety of command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems to SPAWAR Systems Center San Diego. Additionally, Titan will provide program management, acquisition management, product development and life cycle management support services for a full range of information assurance related programs and systems managed by SPAWAR.
