Compuware and SAP Enable Customers to Lower Total Cost of Ownership

5/14/2004 - Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR) announced a new services partnership with SAP America, Inc. The partnership will deliver a go-to-market strategy designed to help customers reduce the total cost of ownership of SAP deployments by improving application reliability and performance. The combination of Compuware services with SAP® solutions will enable customers to ensure the reliability and maximize the value of their SAP solutions environment, reducing their total cost of ownership.

“With SAP’s primary focus on driving additional value and helping our customers maximize their SAP solutions investment, this relationship with Compuware will help customers decrease total cost of ownership and manage project risk as their organizations grow and change,” said Bill McDermott, CEO and President, SAP America, Inc.

Under this agreement, Compuware will partner with SAP America to proactively reduce customer risk and streamline the upgrade, new deployment and go live process for SAP customers on new and existing installations and upgrades to SAP business solutions. Compuware go-to-market offerings include:

  • Application Reliability--Compuware quality assurance offerings, including Compuware QACenter and the Compuware Application Reliability Solution (CARS), will be tailored for SAP solution implementations and eCATT, SAP’s extended Computer Aided Test Tool. The Compuware Application Reliability Solution (CARS) will deliver an integrated offering of people, products and processes that will enable IT organizations to determine the appropriate quality point of an SAP solutions deployment. This offering will further enhance functional realization capability of SAP solutions.
  • Application Performance Management--Compuware performance management offerings, including Compuware Vantage, will deliver Performance Realization support for SAP solution deployments. Compuware Vantage will provide monitoring, troubleshooting and performance management capabilities, which are complementary to SAP Solution Manager, in order to maximize the value of application and infrastructure investments running on SAP solutions.
